Larry Pellegrini is the creator and director of Tony n' Tina's Wedding, the longest-running Off-Broadway comedy show. Over a career spanning decades, he has created and directed four original interactive shows for Off-Broadway and Las Vegas — building a reputation as one of the most inventive minds in live, participatory entertainment.
Together with his partner Jeff Gitlin, Larry co-founded Paradise Activity Company, the largest U.S.-based hospitality and activity company for hotels and resorts — a venture that has grown to serve over 20 properties across the country, with projects extending to Mexico and beyond.
A Career Built on the Stage
Larry's extensive portfolio spans corporate entertainment, resort programming, and original theatrical productions across the Hawaiian Islands and beyond. He has produced corporate shows for Grand Wailea and Kauai Marriott, bringing the same craft and energy that defined his Off-Broadway work to the world of hospitality entertainment.
He wrote and directed Leo and Lili's Luau for the Hiccup Circus on the Big Island, and served as producer for the six-year run of Huakaʻi Lūʻau at Kāʻanapali Beach Club — the show that has become Maui's most celebrated cultural evening. He also leads creative direction for Paradise Activity Company at Kāʻanapali Beach Club and The Point at Poipu, along with many other regional, international, and Off-Broadway interactive productions.
As Artistic Director of Huakaʻi Lūʻau, Larry shapes the visual and theatrical identity of the show — the pacing, the stagecraft, the storytelling arc of each evening. It is his veteran eye that ensures every performance moves with intention, and that every guest leaves having experienced something genuinely extraordinary.
